Newborn to Yearling Kids
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My preference for Dam raised kids is to (unless there are more than 2)..leave the kids on until they are 3 months old and it is time to wean. This eliminates me from having to milk more does than I want to or can. Some kids will still go to a bottle at this age, if you want to try. I find that my dam raised kids are less pushy, but friendly. They are handled often. Alpine wethers will be disbudded, vaccinated, dewormed at the appropriate times. For pet wethers, they should as big as possible before being wethered, and I will likely do it at 2 months, around weaning time. If you want a wether with horns, I require $50 non-refundable deposit. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
